slept in this morning...kinda. i always wake up by 830...even when i can sleep in.
such a bummer. haha but i didnt get outta bed until like 10. just turned up my ipod [b/c i sleep with it playing all night] and chilled.
did chores and acted lazy today.
another skype date with Jess<3 she makes me laugh so much. love her.
then we had a 50th anniv party for a couple from church this afternoon.
at youth group tonight we had a game of volleyball before bible study. it was awesome. i love volleyball and have missed playing. its been way too long. i was afraid i wouldnt be able to b/c of my neck, but i think it was okay!
then afterwards several of us went outside and sat in the back of my truck and looked at the stars.

no head pain this morning when i woke up!!! PTL
i had to work this morning.  we went on a golf cart ride and then played "chalk walk" and wrote on the road.
it was great.
after work i spent most of the day on the phone with a couple of my best friends.
i am so blessed. i especially love when right before we hang up they say "can i pray for you??" <3
ahhhh...makes my day. God is so gooood!
then tonight i skyped jess and her sister for an hour and a half. we laughed to hard.
it was the best. and i needed it so much. i feel so refreshed now.

today was a pretty awful day for several reasons. i wont go into them all because some are personal.
but i needed the reminder of "Jesus is all i need" so much today. i wrote it on my hand for a constant reminder. <3
our psychology presentation was today. it went pretty good. and we all matched without any planning.
i made sure we got a picture. ;)
after school i met a friend of mine at a local restaurant that neither of us had ever been to before.
it was really good [i got potato soup!!!] and i enjoyed talking to her and catching up.
i needed it so much.
my head pain was horrible and i came home and immediately went to bed.

today my family went to Dollywood today....and i couldnt go because of homework. :(
oh well...theres always next time and i kinda liked the quite house.
i went out to run some errands and then down to the barn.
went to church tonight and it was so amazing. we talked about he plagues in egypt in exodus and woooowww. i wont go in depth (unless you want me to?!?? email me.) but i had never thought about them like we talked about tonight: how they line up with creation, the order of them, everything. <3
and then everyyyyyyyone on AI tonight was amazing. holy cow, this group has so much talent. i just love it so much.

school all day. im feeling really stressed about my presentation on THURSDAY...i feel like we still have so much to do!!!
on my way home from school one of the precious kids i babysit, jonathan, called me (he's 2) to tell me about his day and to tell me he wanted me to come over and play. seriously made.my.day. <3 it was so sweet.
this evening i went to the movies to see the hunger games with several friends and my sister. (no i havent read the books, nor do i plan on it. the movie was good enough for me)
im not exactly sure whether i liked it or not yet, though. it was suuuuper intense
and at one part i screamed...so loud. haha and i knew it was coming! :P
then we stood in the parking lot laughing SO HARD and making up crazy dances....it was hilarious. we had a blast.

 i love he first summer dress i've bought this year. my first time wearing it. 

my head pain has been pretty intense all day. and my neck is so so tight. :(
i think i'm gonna have to try something else besides chiropractic therapy...or maybe a different chiro? i dont know what to do, honestly. its been over 3 months and i'll start doing better for a little bit, but then i go down hill again.
anyway, this afternoon mom and i went to knox vagus (aka knoxville).
i had an interview at childrens hosp for their volunteer summer program,
then we went shopping--i got some new shoes at old navy, and some meds for my horse. haha
supper at a mexican restaurant,
i got to wear my new dress [that i bought at goodwill, band new-talbots, for like 8 bucks.] and i love it so much!!!

another early morning. we played with toys in the basement until the kids started falling asleep (before nap time)
so we took them for a walk outside. we went down to the creek and threw rocks in the water and looked for some craw dads.
after we ate lunch and put the kids to bed we cleaned the house before the Bo's got home from their trip.

went to church tonight then went to the dairy barn with my siblings for some ice cream.
ms. bo let me borrow her edited and clean version of Titanic so i watched that tonight, well most of it. yay i love that movie! :)

 hungry much???

woke up early (jon jon is an early bird. haha) this morning.
pushed a double stroller on a 1.5 mile hike late this morning (isaac helped with the stroller).
after we gave the kids lunch and put them down for their nap, isaac and i made pizza and cinnamon sticks.
after nap time we loaded up and went to the local park for a little bit to play.
gave the kids a bath (a colorful bath actually. they had some kinda water color stuff), put them to bed, and watched secretariat.

my mom and sister left for a conference in GA early this morning.
i went to the Bo's late this afternoon to babysit for the weekend. Lai had been there all day and she stayed the night with me.
after we put the little ones to bed, Lai, Isaac and I stayed up watching remember the titans for a little while.

my 6 year old darling sister wanted to take pictures of me today with my camera.
it made me nervous at first, i'm not gonna lie. haha my camera is my baby. but she was really careful and surprised me by getting some really good pictures!!! i was impressed and she says she wants to be a photographer like me. ;)
she is such a sweetheart.
then i went out to give the horses a good brush down....they're losing the winter coat like crazy!!!
worked on our psychology project at school before class. its getting reallllly stressful. we present one week from today! Ahh!
came home with a slight fever (99.1 F) and super stressed.... so i took a quick nap after supper.
watched american idol tonight and my brother made an amaaaaaazing milkshake.

 it feels like summer and the trees are just starting to bud...

the chiropractor said that i'm not outta the woods yet, but im getting close.
he said its gotten to be a neurological issue....
laid in the sun for a little bit :P
had a gorgeous 4 month old session this afternoon. (you can see a preview here)
then spent several hours afterward holding her and talking with her momma. it was great and such a blessing.
i've been getting discouraged lately about a few different things that are going on and that im having to deal with...but GOD KNOWS and He is so faithful. He amazes me. He gives me the strength i need and put people in my life who give great advice. im so thankful.
went to church tonight at a friends church. it was really awesome and it really challenged me to think. we talked about Moses and how we can apply and learn from him. it was awesome.
american idol tonight pretty much rocked. WOW such amazing talent. but i cast my first vote of the season tonight-- i had to vote for Colton Dixon. i dont know why, exactly, im not a huge fan of his style of music....but holy cow can he sing!!! (i kinda like his hair, too....is that weird?)

RTTH posted a link to my blog on their facebook page. i did a post about my trip (which you can view here) and i have no idea how they found it, but it totally made my day. how cool is that??? that most has gotten like 170 views since sunday.

homework this morning and then school all day.
my comp 2 professor said that i needed to write my paper (on a poem called God's Grandeur) as an analysis not a sermon. :/
my group in psych class is working hard on getting our project done and ready for our presentation next week!!! ah!!
tonight after school we had a graduation meeting
then all of us (except dad) went driving around in the country to enjoy this amazing weather.

laid in the sun...i swear i am so addicted. (do i say that every day???)
some how i totally forgot to wear make up (that never happens. haha) so i went all day w/o it, except for a little eye liner.
the trees at the chiropractor office are soooooo pretty! the color is so vivid and lovely.

st. patrick's day... i really not care about this holiday at all. i only wear green because if i didnt i swear i'd die of being pinched to death. haha
it was pretty much a lazy day. YAYYY!
i did some homework, we worked on the barn a little, and then i took a 2 or 3 hour nap.
i was so tired and i knew i wasnt gonna get any extra sleep this coming week. so i decided to try'n catch up a little today.
we had youth group tonight--we talked about our dreams & goals.
it was really cool and i enjoyed it.

spent this morning doing doing homework.
then spent 2.5 hours at school working on the psych project with a girl in my group.
then spent another hour helping a lady from comp class with revising her paper.
my aunt came for a visit this afternoon so she was here when i got home.
we had a major thunderstorm...loved it.the lightning was quite intense...it was like an all natural firework show.
after a delicious homemade supper of fried pork chops and mashed potatoes we went
shopping at goodwill and then to the dairy barn for ice cream.
i got a brand new talbots summer dress at goodwill for $8!!!!  and to top that off it was size 2! so excited about that. haha

another day of sun tanning for 2 hours. i actually got a little bit burned today :( but my tan is finally soaking in and showing up!! Yay! haha
i did homework and then went to class this evening.
at school a lady who's in my class came up to me and started telling me about how for a couple weeks she had just really felt the devil tempting her and hitting her from every side. and then the other day in another class she saw Colossians 3:17
"whatever you do, whether in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus."
she said it was just exactly what she needed to hear and how awesome God was and how he worked in little simple ways sometimes. i felt so blessed by what she shared with me. she was like, 'i just needed to tell someone and i knew you would understand!' it was so special. i LOVE how God works.
when i got home we worked on the barn until it started thundering. we decided to call it a night and came in and ate supper.
i got the sweetest text in the world from a sweet little girl i babysit.
it said, "are you still at school? i just wanted to make sure you were safe? -jessi"
soooo extremely precious!! <3333 she is such a sweetheart.
i was already having a rough evening and that text just totally made my night! love it.

also, i feel like i need to apologize for being a week behind in posting!!!! :( i was gonna try to keep up with it every day on my trip, but that didnt work out so well. anyway, i feel better now that i've got it all caught up again. i hate getting behind!

feeling more refreshed today...
totally took advantage of this gorgeous day. middle of march and the high is 80??? love it.
i layed in the sun for about 2 hours. trying to get a tan early this year.
i think tanning is my biggest weakness. i could seriously lay in the sun all day long. i love sun and heat and summer and tans :)
and summer weather at the end of winter is awesome. seriously, why havent we had this before? haha
this afternoon my sister and i met several of our friends at the dairy barn (local ice cream place) for some ice cream, obviously, and to talk and catch up.
then church and american idol tonight.

im still not caught up on sleep...ahhh!
i had classes all day. a paper due that i finished this morning. we had some friends form GA visiting this afternoon/evening.
i got a super bad headache yesterday evening that i cant get rid of and my neck is so tight i barely have any motion.
all the sitting i did this past weekend was hard on my body. (ughhh i feel like im 80 years old...no offence to those of you who are 80.)
i was in bed with a heating pad by 10. i need sleep so bad.

soooo incredibly exhausted.
i had about 50 million things on my to-do list today. getting back in the swing of things after a vacation is hard.
i had about a weeks worth of studying and homework to do (which included finishing my paper), had to unpack, and then had to work from 4 to 8.
i was all i could do to hold my eyes open all day.
i had fun with the sweet kiddos i watched tonight. we blew bubbles, drew with chalk, played on the swing, ate mac n cheese, watched a movie, played with trains, and then read books til their mom got home. :)
i crashed as soon as i got home.

last day :(
we got up extra early to pack, load the vehicles, and check out of our hotel.
we went to cowboy church that morning. which was really good. the preacher (carter edmondson) was great and i enjoyed the service a lot. we went and met him afterward and let him know we were glad they were holding a service at RTTH and talked a little about how we could relate to some of the things we said. it was a cool experience.
the 3 of us just kinda wondered around shopping and talking and trying to stay awake. haha
they did the final challenge today-the obstacle course. it was really interesting, exciting, and very stressful.
tootie bland (the lady who puts on the whole thing) offered each team 30 bounus points each if they would switch horses to ride for the obstacle course (keep in mind that the clinicians had only touched their own horse. it was against the rules to mess with any horse except your own.) and my aussies decided to take her up on it. so they switched horses at the last minute and had to compete using a horse they had never ridden before or even touched.
but of course they still did great!!! and they WON the whole thing. i was screaming so loud i was afraid i was gonna lose my voice. haha it was amazing. the whole trip was amazing.
we walked around the stables and then headed for the parking lot. it was a sad goodbye and heading in opposite directions for home. lai and i heading south and callie heading north. we delayed it for as long as we could. haha but we gave big hugs and hit the road.
lai and i decided we better stop and get large coffee's for the trip to keep us awake. she drove the first half and i drove the last half. we kept the music up loud and talked or sang the whole time, to keep each other wide awake. haha we made it home safely and with sooooo many amazing memories and lotsa pictures. (which you can view the ones i took here).
we also sat next to some awesome ladies from up north. they were a blast. :)

we got up early again to drive down to bedford tack in shelbyville.
after a little shopping we headed back to RTTH to enjoy day2. we stopped at starbucks on the way because we were all so exhausted.
we got to meet Stacy Westfall (after stalking her all weekend) get her autograph and a picture with her, we got to meet John Lyons and get his autograph, also met Craig Cameron (pic and autograph) and Pat Perelli. We were all three so excited.
we did a little bit of shopping at all the venders booths (i got the super cool wallet pictured above) when we got tired of sitting and had fun trying to push through the crowds of people. it was ridiculous how crowded it was.
it was another awesome, successful day in the roundpens for round 2. they all got so far.
THENNNNNN....right when we were getting ready to leave we decided to walk around the place one more time. we were walking along and talking and laughing and we rounded the corner where the australian's booths were. i looked up and stopped in my tracks... GUY MCLEAN was standing right in front of us. AHHHHH....i started freaking out (callie too) and we went over and asked him to sign our RTTH shirts and then we got a picture with him. it was SOOOO cool. we talked to him for a few minutes. then i looked over and DAN JAMES was right there tooooo!!! then i started to REALLY freak out. we went over and had him sign our shirts and got a picture with him and talked to him for a minute. it was SO BEYOND COOL.
such a once-in-a-life-time-kinda-day!!!! i still can hardly believe it.
also...something else thats kinda cool:
dodge had a booth there are they were actually PAYING people to test drive their 2013 dodge rams. callie decided to go do it and while she was signing up and everything they told me that if i rode with her, they'd pay me too. i was like heck yeah...totally doing this. so she drove her first dually and i rode with her and they gave us each a $10 american express gift card. can you say free souvenirs??? haha
we went back to the room, ate supper, went to target til they chased us out at closing time, got popcorn, went back to the room to watch a movie and get some packing done.

we got up early so we would have plenty of time to get ready and find tn miller coliseum which is where Road to the Horse is.
the GPS decided to get us lost (thank goodness we were super early) but in the process of getting lost we found a super cool looking place (which we later found out was the Bill Rice Ranch) that we decided to check out.
it turned out to be some kinda Christian summer kids camp and it had this cool little old-timey 'town' set up. we thought it was the perfect place for a photo shoot. we parked the truck, jumped out, and went to shooting. we had a blast and the pictures turned out super cool!
we then headed back to find the coliseum and found it and werent late at all. RTTH was beyond amazing. i was blown away by the talent of all 6 trainers. especially the australians. holy moly they were amazing. i had decided that i was going for AUS when we first got the tickets, but after seeing them work in person it totally confirmed it.
each clinician had a few minutes to kinda introduce themselves and show what they do. then it was on to picking the colt they were going to start and work with over the weekend. as soon as the herd came out i picked my favorite-- a pretty roan who had a lot of personality!!! and guess what?? dan james (one of the aussies) picked him to start. wooooot!
after they all had picked their colt, they began round 1 of the roundpen work. i was impressed with how much they each were able to accomplish with their horse in such a short period of time.
all 3 of us were super exhausted by the time we got to the room that night around 930. but we ate some supper and headed out for walmart to goof off (what else is there to do at midnight???) and we wanted to get some sharpies so we could get autographs the next day.
after heading back to the room, taking showers, and taking silly pictures on callies webcam, we all crashed into bed around 2.

today is the day i've been waiting for since last November.
its the beginning of our spring break girls road trip for Road to the Horse<3333
i am so excited. Lai and i decided we wanted to just take our time and not make it stressful so we got up this morning, got everything packed and ready, loaded up and took off -- murfreesboro bound ;)
we had a few stops in town to make before we actually hit the road...
one of which was at wally world. one thing on the list was window chalk (or whatever its called). WAYYY FUN!
neither one of us are light packers....so the backseat of the truck was ridiculously FULLLLL. seriously, we shoulda been embarrassed. haha
We made it safely and were praying that it wouldnt rain while we were traveling. God answered our prayers and it didnt start raining until we were about 5 minutes out. We had to unload in the pouring rain, but it was way better than driving in it. so thankful.
We got unpacked, spread out on the beds and watched tv for a little bit. went to chick fil a for supper. went back to the room and waited for callie to get there.
she arrived around 11 so we helped her unpack and then stayed up late talking and laughing and catching up. we hadnt seen each other in over a year!!!!!

busy, busy, busy day.
tomorrow my four day weekend/spring break vacation/girls road trip starts and i.cannot.wait.
i had a chiropractor appointment this morning and got some pretty encouraging news. he told me my neck was looking about 75% better. PTL<3 <3 God is so good. and im starting to feel the improvement as well. so incredibly thankful.
i got my last bit of shopping for the trip done.
i got the mexican chicken lasagna and chicken salad made. brownies baked. bags packed (well kinda).
and i still havent finished that darn paper...im ready to just give up on it.
its spring break for goodness sake! i shouldnt even haveto be doing homework. ugh.
anyway,...i've got a few last minute things to do before we leave in the morning but i am so freakin excited. AHHH!
i'll be uploading [cell phone] pictures on my facebook the whole time and i'll try to make sure i post every night to keep yall updated for all your nosey people reading this blog!! ;) haha
